Articles: Iconizer II at the Midlands Show

    Friday, July 08, 2011 - 11:55 AM, (5611 Reads)

MathMagical Software have announced that Iconizer II will be available at the MUG Midlands Shows for purchase, a new copy is available for £35 or £10 for an upgrade from a previous version of the software.

Iconizer II allows the user to plot mathematical objects and is designed to complement the 2009 book Symmetry in Chaos. The key plotting in this new version has seen routines mathematically manipulated to allow them to run in an integer space, these routines then being coded in ARM assembly language by Martin Hansen. MathMagical's press release states "This coding was very intricate and took five weeks of full time work to perfect. The result is believed to be, by far, the fastest strange attractor plotting routine available on any PC. Images that previously took around 24 minutes to render now do so in 25 seconds. A collection of image manipulation tools, also written in assembler, allow the strange attractors to be presented in interesting and novel ways." For more information regarding this exciting new release, please visit http://www.mathmagical.co.uk or simply enquire at their MUG Midlands Show stall.
